Un soplo cardíaco es el sonido que se escucha cuando la sangre fluye bruscamente, o de manera anormal por una válvula del corazón. Su proveedor de atención médica puede escuchar el soplo cuando le escucha el corazón con un estetoscopio. Los soplos cardíacos pueden afectar a personas de cualquier edad. Muchos de estos son inofensivos, pero quizás puedan indicar que tiene un problema en el corazón.
